Principal's Message
Dear Schweitzer Families,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I am excited to begin my second year as the proud principal of Albert Schweitzer Elementary. I learned so much during my first year, and I am incredibly grateful for the warm and inclusive welcome I received from our students, families, and staff. It has truly been an honor to become part of this wonderful community.
As we begin the new school year, I’d like to extend a special welcome to all of our new families and staff members joining us. We are thrilled to have you as part of the Schweitzer Wildcat family and look forward to the year ahead.
This year, we will continue our strong focus on literacy through high-quality classroom instruction and targeted intervention support to ensure all students grow as readers and writers. We are also committed to supporting the continued reclassification of our English Language Learners, celebrating their growth and success along the way.
There is so much to look forward to! From the return of our school play and Starstruck performances to family events like Math and Science Nights and our Fall Festival—we hope you’ll join us and get involved. Volunteering is a great way to stay connected, and we encourage you to participate in any way you can.
To help keep families informed, we are increasing communication this year with a Schweitzer newsletter sent out twice a month and weekly updates through Talking Points.
I’m looking forward to a fantastic school year filled with learning, growth, and community. Don’t hesitate to say hello when you see me out on campus or email me to schedule a time to meet.
With Wildcat pride,
Gelika Harrison
