Our School
Nestled in the desirable "Stollwood Estates" neighborhood of Carmichael, Albert Schweitzer Elementary is surrounded by mature trees and enjoys minimal vehicle traffic.
Our campus has a wonderful quad area in the center of the school where students can visit, study, or enjoy their lunch under the quiet canopy of the trees. Our school also boasts a "nature area" used for hikes and other environmental studies. The elevated stage in our multipurpose room is used for many events, including our annual musical productions.
The school opened in 1961 and was named for Albert Schweitzer, a winner of the 1952 Nobel Peace Prize.
